The 2025 high school football action continued this past weekend with some great games across Pennsylvania! Here is Mr. PA Football’s recap of some of the top games.
Central York Trounces Spring Grove 50-13
Unfortunately, one of the most anticipated games of the weekend in York County out of District-3 ended up being a blowout.
Central York senior quarterback Brooklyn Nace, an Old Dominion commit, demonstrated his skills against the Rockets on Friday night. Nace completed 17-of-18 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns.
Panthers’ senior wide receiver, Brendyn Smith, and junior running back, Legend Johnson, also had big nights against the Rockets. Johnson rushed 15 times for 112 yards and four touchdowns and Smith, a Kent State recruit, caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.
The game was essentially over before it started. Central York was up 36-0 at the end of the first quarter and then coasted to an easy victory.
The Panther defense kept Spring Grove junior running back Malik Cain in check pretty much the whole game. Spring Grove came into the game with a vaunted rushing attack led by Cain. He is the leading rusher in York County. Cain finished with 64 yards and a touchdown with 12 carries on the night.
Central York looks like the frontrunner to win the YAIAA Division-I title again after another huge win on Friday Night.
