Weekend Recap: 2025 Week 10 (Oct 23 – Oct 25)

The 2025 high school football action continued this past weekend with some great games across Pennsylvania! Here is Mr. PA Football’s recap of some of the top games.

Bishop McDevitt Rolls Past State College 36-20

The Crusaders utilized a strong special teams’ performance to defeat State College 36-20 in a Mid-Penn Commonwealth contest. This game was a tremendous match-up and one of the biggest games across the Commonwealth this weekend.

Bishop McDevitt won despite turning the ball over four times which is usually unheard of in a high school football game. The Crusaders were able to overcome the turnovers because they dominated in all three phases of the football game.

Senior Patrick Wright ran a kick back 75 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the second-half which put Bishop McDevitt ahead 16-14. Next, State College answered with a 39-yard touchdown pass from sophomore QB Connor Kulka to senior WR/CB Hank Lustig. On the ensuing play, sophomore Jerome Laure Jr. also ran a kick back 94 yards for a touchdown for the Crusaders, which extended McDevitt’s lead to 29-20.

Bishop McDevitt took control of the game at that crucial point and never looked back the rest of the night. Bishop McDevitt (8-2) has now won eight straight games heading into the District-3 playoffs. State College now drops to (8-2) after the loss on Friday night and the Little Lions will be motivated and look to make a statement in the state playoffs.
