Week 5 Player of the Week Nominees:
Small School (Class 1A-3A)
Tim Andrasy, RB, Leechburg, Sr.: Andrasy rushed for 259 yards on 36 carries and scored four touchdowns to help Leechburg beat Jeannette 36-27.
Matt Bodnar, QB, Notre Dame-Green Pond, Sr.: Bodnar threw for 357 passing yards and six touchdowns in a 58-0 rout over Catasauqua.
Teegan Carroll, QB/LB, Halifax, Sr.: Carroll totaled 14 tackles, including two for loss, as the Wildcats defeated James Buchanan 14-10.
Max Doherty, RB/LB, Derry, Jr.: Doherty ran for 222 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 41-34 loss to Indiana.
Ben Hays, RB, Bentworth, Sr.: Hays ran for 261 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 42-7 victory over Bethlehem-Center.
Dom Hogue, WR, Ellwood City, Sr.: Hogue caught eight passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-14 win over Freedom.
Juelz Johnson, RB/S, Farrell, Sr.: Johnson ran for 171 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 30-7 victory over rival Sharon.
Ryker Kennedy, WR/CB, North Catholic, Sr.: Kennedy caught four passes for 156 yards and a touchdown in a 63-0 rout over McGuffey.
Dalton Kratzer, RB, Newport, Sr.: Kratzer rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown in a 57-12 victory over Susquenita.
Marcus Yeager, DE/LB/TE, Trinity, Sr.: Yeager collected 11 tackles, including three sacks, and he caught eight passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in a 17-6 win over Milton Hershey.
Big School (Class 4A-6A)
Marques Council Jr., QB, Aliquippa, Sr.: Council passed for 309 yards and threw three touchdowns. Council’s last throw of the night was a 28-yard strike to Raymond Williams that gave Aliquippa a 21-16 victory over Penn Hills on the game’s final play.
David Dennison, RB/CB, Bethel Park, Sr.: Dennison had 317 yards rushing and six touchdowns to lead Bethel Park to a 51-35 win over Trinity.
Amahj Gowans, RB, Cardinal O’Hara, Sr.: Gowans ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-14 victory over Smyrna (DE).
Mayson Mitchell, QB, Gateway, Fr.: Mitchell completed 14 of 21 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-28 decision over Franklin Regional.
Carter Muth, RB, Hollidayburg, Jr.: Muth rushed for a game-high 172 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns in 49-14 victory over Mifflinburg.
Quinlin Shearer, QB, Red Land, Sr.: Shearer completed 15 of 17 passes for 360 yards and five touchdowns in a 47-7 win over Northern York.
Brody Spindler, RB/LB, Pittston, Sr.: Spindler rushed for 196 yards on 33 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 36-35 overtime victory over Dallas.
Andre Watson Jr., RB, Coatesville, So.: Watson ran for 188 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 42-21 win over West Chester East.
Ayden Yocum, RB, Mars Area, Sr.: Yocum rushed for 310 yards on 35 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 29-21 victory over Montour.
Adam Yoder, RB, West Perry, Sr.: Yoder piled up 254 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown in a 38-17 victory over Middletown.
