SportsRecruiters.com announced they will sponsor the third annual Mr. Pennsylvania football awards banquet on February 9, 2013 after last year's immense success.  The awards will be presented on February 9, 2013 to the best high school football players in Pennsylvania.  There will be two awards presented; one for the Small School Mr. Pennsylvania, which will consist of class A and AA players, and one for the Big School Mr. Pennsylvania, which will consist of class AAA and AAAA players.  The players will be chosen by football fans, sportswriters/ sportscasters, and coaches from around the state.  Fans will be able to nominate and vote for their favorite players, and the media panel from major media markets as well as coaches from across the state will be nominating and voting for the outstanding players.  The fans, the media, and the coaches will each represent 1/3 of the vote.

The nomination process is open to all high school football players in Pennsylvania.  Players will be nominated by fans, media, and coaches via web site voting.  The results will be listed on the web site with their votes being displayed and tabulated.  A portion of the proceeds are being donated to Vickie’s Angel Walk. The charity will be listed on MRPAFOOTBALL.com, along with directions regarding the Tremendous Twenty and the time line listed below.  The deadline for the nominations will be December 1st, 2012.  MRPAFOOTBALL.com will provide voting rules and publish the results after each time line listed below.  The following will be the selection process time line:

                    Dec.15     Tremendous Twenty

                    Jan. 01     Top Ten

                    Jan. 15     Final Five

SportsRecruiters.com is very excited to sponsor this award again in Pennsylvania as it continues to grow.  Sixteen states with rich high school football traditions such as Texas, Florida, Ohio, California, Alabama, and Oklahoma present awards annually (in collaboration with fans, coaches, and the sports media).  With Pennsylvania being a hot-bed for high school football, it’s about time Pennsylvania has its own Mr. Football, which is long overdue according to sportswriters and football enthusiasts.
