Weekend Recap: 2025 Week 8 (Oct 9 – Oct 11)

The 2025 high school football action continued this past weekend with some great games across Pennsylvania! Here is Mr. PA Football’s recap of some of the top games.

Twin Valley Earns Giant 28-6 Victory Over Wyomissing

A match-up of unbeatens was one of the most highly anticipated games of the weekend in District-3. The gigantic contest was very physical from start to finish.

Twin Valley (5-0, 8-0) secured a 28–6 hard-fought win over Wyomissing (4-1, 7-1) on Saturday in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 4 match-up.

Twin Valley felt slighted entering the game and went out with a chip on their shoulder and to prove a point in this contest. The Raiders limited the Spartans to just two field goals on Saturday and didn’t allow a touchdown from a team that had averaged 42 points per game.

Wyomissing’s top two backs, Justice Hardy and Chase Eisenhower, were limited to just 23 and 34 yards, respectively, and were effectively shut down for almost the entire contest. The Spartan’s offense was held to a total of 201 yards.

The first half was very competitive and it looked like this game would be a very close tussle. Twin Valley led 7-6 at halftime in a defensive struggle.

The Raiders took control of the second half from their first possession that resulted in a three-yard touchdown run by Lucas Myers. The Myers touchdown made it 14-6 and the Raiders never looked back from that point of the game until the final whistle was blown.

Senior RB/FS Drew Engle was magnificent and finished with 205 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.

There is a good chance Wyomissing and Twin Valley could meet again in the District-3 playoffs, and both squads know they’ll need to be ready.
