The 2025 high school football action continued this past weekend with some great games across Pennsylvania! Here is Mr. PA Football’s recap of some of the top games.
Nazareth Area earns 30-20 victory over Wilson West Lawn
One of the most anticipated games of the weekend in Class 6A lived up to all the hoopla. Nazareth Area beat Wilson West Lawn 30-20 Friday night in a non-league cross-regional match-up.
Nazareth Area senior quarterback Peyton Falzone, an Auburn commit, showcased his skills against the Bulldogs for a second year in a row. Falzone accounted for four touchdowns on Friday night, with one rushing touchdown.
The Bulldogs racked up 10 penalties, which killed drives and erased a touchdown.
On their first touchdown, Falzone, under pressure, hurled a pass off his back foot to Luke Depietro, who hauled it in for the score.
Nazareth capitalized on a takeaway and kept their offensive momentum rolling. The Bulldogs just didn’t have an answer defensively.
The tides seemed to be turning. Wilson West Lawn forced a quick three-and-out with over nine minutes to play, trailing 23-13.
Although, the mistakes continued, ones you simply can’t afford against a team like Nazareth Area.
Senior RB/DB Correll Akings was a force for the Bulldogs on Friday night, but it wasn’t quite enough to get the victory. Akings scored two touchdowns against the Blue Eagles on the night.
