Miles Sanders, a standout running back for the Woodland Hills football team, is currently in the running for the title of Mr. PA Football 2015. The statewide contest, which pits well known names on the football field against each other, has fans voting for their favorite athlete in order to determine who will hold the distinction of being Mr. PA Football for the next year.
Ranked by 247sports.com at an impressive #1 in the nation for running backs, and 20th in the nation for football players overall, Sanders has long commanded a great deal of attention for his feats on the field. He was named to the 2014 and 2015 Pennsylvania Football Writers’ Class AAAA All-State team. A senior, he is committed to playing for Penn State in the fall.
According to Woodland Hills Head Coach George Novak, “Miles has become a fan favorite because he plays hard all the time. Whether its running the football or running track, his tenacity on the playing fields is a quality that endears himself to our community.”
Sanders has been nominated and selected to be among the top six high school football athletes statewide through a unique voting process. The fans, media, and coaches each represent one-third of the vote.Fans can cast their vote at Mr. PA Football webpage. The final voting deadline for the winner of Mr. PA Football is February 8.
